Olive: Progress Made Possible by Care

Olive is a sweet, outgoing French Bulldog who was surrendered at three and a half years old after becoming fully paralyzed. Despite everything she has been through, she remains affectionate, easygoing, and endlessly loving. She adores people of all ages, especially children, and greets everyone with warmth and trust.

An MRI revealed that some of the bones in Olive’s spine had not developed normally before birth. This is likely a lifelong condition rather than the result of a recent injury. She also has a ruptured disc pressing on her spinal cord, as well as a smaller bulging disc farther down her spine.

After carefully assessing her condition, her veterinary team determined that surgery was not the right option. Instead, Olive began a rehabilitation program tailored to her needs.The results have been remarkable! Since starting treatment, Olive has regained bladder control and has even begun using her back legs. Her progress is a testament to her resilience and the difference that appropriate care and rehabilitation can make.
