Abbey: A Story of Resilience

Abbey is a mixed-breed dog who arrived in June 2025 at just four months old, full of love and with a spirit that refused to be broken. Despite a heartbreaking start to life, Abbey’s resilience shines through. She came to us after being attacked by another dog in her previous home, suffering a broken jaw.

Advanced imaging revealed multiple fractures on the left side of her face as a result of the trauma. With expert veterinary care and a consultation with a veterinary dental specialist, Abbey received the treatment she needed, and she is not expected to experience long-term effects from her injuries. You would never guess what this brave girl has been through. She greets each day with a wagging tail, a playful bounce, and all the joy of a happy puppy.

Thanks to the care she received, Abbey found her forever family in October 2025, and we couldn’t be happier for her!
